The old building looks beautiful
Loved the history behind this building that used to be the centre of the city back when the days where gold is the source of the life in the city. A landmark not to be missed for any tourist. Along the stairs is a gallery of the mayor of the city since 1890s, and it is the house of the ancient bronze bell from the HMAS Perth ship. Not a very big place, but the hall upstairs is open for rental of various functions. I bet it would be wonderful to have a wedding here at such a historical place.

The Victorian Free Gothic Style architecture of Perth Town Hall is reminiscent of 14th to 16th century public buildings in Germany, Britain, and Brussels where there is a watch tower on one end and a market place beneath the hall. History has it that Perth Town Hall is Australia's only Gothic-style town hall and the only town hall built by convicts. The award-winning restoration of the building that was completed in 2005 has combined the antique aesthetics and the modern amenities to return this historic jewel to its original charm.
