Great library. Lots of community information/displays and a lovely interactive children's area. My baby was amused here for ages. There are toys, colouring in and best of all a giant Thomas the Tank Engine. The rhyme time and story time sessions also aren't as crowded as some other libraries can be. It seems as though it's been renovated in the last few years as it's very clean and modern.

A great community service for Bassendean and surrounding suburbs. Friendly, expert staff are always available to help with everything from childrens books to encyclopaedic resources for students of the university of the third age. PCs, scanning & photocopying facilities, newspapers, comfy couches fill the relatively small but centrally located library. And the view is relaxing.
This place has saved me so much money! They have ordered in every book I have ever requested and saved me the expense of buying them! The reserve and inter library systems work a treat and keep my avid reader in books all year around! The staff are friendly and helpful and the website is awesome, allowing many tasks to be done there without needing to leave home! Simply brilliant! Thanks!
I enjoy going to the Bassendean Library. It is modern, clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend it to any one who wants to study. There are lots of benches and spaces to work. It also has a great children's area with lots of large mats to play on. On the downside, the computers are old and slow but apart from that it's wonderful!
