Heard all the hype and thought to try it. A lot of homeless in there too. Was not impressed with the menu but for volunteers donating time and no doubt food, we can't expect too much. The reception lady was talking on the phone from the moment of opening until we left and never thought to give a smile when we gave them a generous $50 each just because we liked the concept but definitely not for the service or the food. To see a place like this was what made us be so generous and put in for the homeless eaters too. In so saying that I wouldn't be keen to return. When I told other friends I'd been there they said they are worth giving $5 but no more. Change the reception and one may overlook all else. Good locale of the river though!

Tasteless, waste of money place. They advertise that eat as much as you like and pay as much as you like. For their not even 2$ worth food which one eats, if you pay them less than 10$ per person, they will make faces and will show you disappointment. Never go to this caste system based pathetic eatery. This so called charitable, volunteered business makes more money than any other business. If you are not from a certain Hindu caste you can't volunteer to help in the kitchen due to your different origin and faith. A pathetic restaurant with same menu whole time everytime.

This venue is an amazing place for both location and food. I believe Annalakshmi Restaurant is run by volunteers and the menu is simple and smorgasbord. An all-you-can-eat buffet with a price based on your "Heart Feelings". Discovered this restaurant way back when it was originally located on Esplanade Terrace, Perth. 5 Stars

Annalakshmi is just pure goodness. Delicious healthy vegetarian indian food prepared with love and kindness by volunteer staff. Eat as much as you need while enjoying a beautiful view of the Swan River then pay what you feel the meal was worth or what you can afford. So good in every way.

In this day and age of so many negatives, shrug them all off and come down to enjoy a vegetarian feast where you pay what you will, and from the heart.Surrounded by images of the gods and goddesses, be humbled by the fare that is on offer, for it is good and wholesome and very tasty indeed. These people give up all their time and skill to provide for those that have not, so that all may eat. If you have the time and you have the coin, experience the love and joy of the most beautiful venue on the Perth waterfront and give what you can to make sure this amazing place continues on.
